Welcome!
This handbook was developed specifically for the new music teacher in Kansas but it may be helpful for all music educators. Refer to the tabs on the right to explore specific topics.
Be sure to check out the Mentoring Network tab to learn about the ways in which KMEA supports both first and second year teachers and teachers who are new to Kansas. The Dates and Deadlines tab is particularly helpful to learn about the various KMEA and KSHSAA events in which your students will participate.
KMEA is here to help you during your first year teaching in Kansas. Please don’t hesitate to contact us!
