Each year, KMEA hosts an In-Service Workshop at the Century II Convention Center in Wichita. At this important annual event, speakers, performers, and vendors gather together to represent the best of music education throughout the state.
2024 In-Service Workshop
Feb. 22-24, 2024
The 2024 In-Service Workshop will start earlier.
Wednesday
- 6:00-9:00 PM: KMEA Board meeting
Thursday
- 9:00-10:00 AM: HS State Groups registration
- 10:00 AM: HS State Groups rehearsals begin
- HS State Groups will be provided a box lunch delivered to rehearsal locations. Participation fee will be increased $15 to cover this cost.
- 10:30 AM: Opening session
- 12:00 PM: Clinics and concerts begin
Friday – No changes
Saturday
- 8:00-9:00 AM: Clinic sessions and chamber concerts. No large ensemble performances.
- 9:00 AM: Award Ceremony
- 10:00-11:30 AM: All-State Orchestra combined concert. Slightly overlaps HS All-State Choirs.
- All other All-State concert times will remain unchanged.
