Welcome to the Kansas Music Educators Association! We are excited you are here and congratulate you on choosing the best profession in the world.
You have worked so hard on your journey to student teaching and now have become a music educator, where you get to make a difference in the lives of students every day. This is a huge responsibility; and so, we as a collective membership, are here to support you.
The first step toward success is to pursue advice and guidance from mentor teachers. Next, always continue to grow and learn through experiences and professional development. Get involved in your district and state KMEA events where you can grow your leadership skills.
Finally, enjoy the ride! You will make great memories with your students and colleagues that will last a lifetime.
