Audition Fee
Instrumental Live Audition registration entries will incur a non-refundable audition fee in accordance with the fee schedule established by KMEA. Audition fees are based on the time-stamp of the entry in the registration system (KMEA Members site). All fees are per audition. All deadlines are in the Central Time Zone.

(a.k.a. “On-site Registration”)

The Application Worksheet must be used for On-Site Registration if all other deadlines were missed. “Online registration” is not available after the $50 deadline.

— $100 per audition
— Paid in person by director (or official school representative) at KMEA audition HQ.
— Application and fee must be submitted by 10:00 AM on the day of auditions.
— Purchase Orders cannot be accepted.

Participation Fee
Following the publication of All-State rosters, a participation fee will be required for each student selected to participate in the Kansas All-State Groups. Participation invoices will be located within each director’s account in the KMEA Members site. All-State students will have the opportunity to participate in rehearsals with a leading conductor, clinics, sectionals, and the All-State concert. KMEA medallions will be awarded for three-year and four-year participants.
Band – $75
Orchestra – $75
Jazz Band – $85

Fee Policy
— The Participation Fee is required for each student named to the roster.
— Students who withdraw will still incur the Participation Fee.
— Alternates who are added to the roster will be charged the regular Participation Fee.
— Schools will not be allowed to register students if they carry an outstanding balance from the previous year.
* Exceptions must be approved by the KMEA Executive Council.

If paying by card, payments for both Auditions and Participation may be submitted via PayPal from within the sponsoring teacher’s account in the registration system (KMEA Members site).

If paying by check, send ONE school check covering all fees payable to Kansas Music Educators Association. Label your payment as either HS State Audition or HS State Participation. Do not mail checks to the Payment Manager within one week prior to auditions. Those payments should be delivered in person at the audition site.

KMEA will register each payment after it is processed. A payment receipt will be available within the sponsoring teacher’s account.
