KANSAS MUSIC EDUCATORS ASSOCIATION
Don & JoAnne Corbett Scholarship Application 2023-24

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

The Don and JoAnne Corbett Scholarship is a $500 award given annually to honor the service of the Corbetts to KMEA and NAfME. This scholarship is awarded to a Music Education major who is a Collegiate NAfME member at a four-year college or university in Kansas. The award is granted during the semester of student teaching. It is given to assist students at the completion of their programs when their expenses are high, the time to work a job is often limited, and when they usually don't qualify for new scholarship funding. The award is presented to the student, and may be used for any expenses incurred during student teaching, including but not limited to tuition, travel expenses, or living expenses.

The deadline for application is February 1, 2024, and the student will be named during the C-NAfME Luncheon at the In-Service Workshop following the application deadline. Along with the printed application form, submit an essay of no more than 500 words describing why you wish to be a music educator.

Complete and return the next page by the postmark deadline, February 1, 2024.
